Lindsay Nel and Robyn Thompson of 3rd year photography have won the Africa/Asia leg of the Sony World Student Photography Awards! Students we asked to submit images that captured the Student Focus Theme 2010 'War and Peace' as reflected by their own country. This is the biggest photographic student award on a global level.


In April Lindsay and Robyn along with Jackie Murray, Senior Lecturer Photography, will be heading off to Cannes in France on an all expenses paid trip courtesy of Sony to attend the Sony Student Photography Expo and final leg of the “shoot-out” (live brief) between 12 students from 6 continents.  The winner of this live brief will be the overall winner of the awards.

They will be attending talks, movies, seminars and chatting to editors, agency heads, photographers etc for the entire week.
